Welcome. With a history as rich as it is storied, the Paradise Valley Cultural and Entertainment District (PVCED) is Metro Detroit’s soon-to-be, go-to destination for vibrant experiences that highlight African American arts and culture. Envisioned as a design-forward district featuring world-class restaurants, lounges, and unique cultural programming, the Paradise Valley experience was mindfully cultivated to reflect the area’s rich history, as well as the contributions of the African American community.
The new Paradise Valley Cultural and Entertainment District will honor a legacy as much as it inspires generations to come.
The Paradise Valley Cultural and Entertainment District is governed by the Paradise Valley Cultural and Entertainment District Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed by a consortium of businesses and individuals that share a goal and a vision to preserve the legacy of the rich culture and entrepreneurial spirit that arose from African Americans as they pursued their vision of creating, owning and operating successful businesses in the former areas of Detroit known as Paradise Valley and Black Bottom.
